Congratulations Mommy, you’ve birthed your baby like a pro! Wondering what’s up with this jelly belly now, and when it’s safe to start exercising again? Here’s our expert personal trainers’ advice on how to get your body back after natural childbirth.
You spent 40 weeks making a baby, and delivered naturally – an incredible bodily feat. The main advice for exercising after birth? “Go slow,” says Nicole, BodyBack’s head of mobile personal trainers. Here’s what you can do, safely, after at least 12 weeks:
It’s best not to return to your previous level of physical activity until at least 16 weeks after your baby is born. If you feel any pain while exercising, stop. Consult your doctor at your postnatal check-up for the go-ahead on working out and getting your body back after pregnancy.
If you’ve asked yourself, “Can a personal trainer come to me?”, the answer is yes! Our expert mobile personal trainers will guide you through your post-pregnancy workouts and give you all the support and motivation you need to get you through. Get in touch today and get your body back!
